Industry 4.0 innovations – such as cloud computing, big data and analytics, IoT, and AI – enable new products, services, and business models, and the pandemic has proven to be an accelerant for digital transformation. Some organisations are vying for the best technical talents to innovate rapidly. But that is only part of the story.
I believe it is important to focus on profoundly embedding a framework of critical thinking in all aspects of our community at all ages and stages of living – private and corporate. In addition to dispositions and abilities, critical thinking needs knowledge of concepts and principles and must be valued. Critical thinking is precious to drive change while preserving what matters, and helps take protective measures against cognitive biases.
